British Elections Poster Stanley Baldwin Bovril British Conservative Party. Original vintage political propaganda poster for the 1929 United Kingdom general election - I hear they want more - Baldwin (With Apologies to Bovril Ltd.). Design by the notable artist John Gilroy (John Thomas Young Gilroy; 1898-1985) in the style of the Bovril posters of the time, set in a red line border with the bold red text above and below a caricature image in black depicting the politician Ramsay MacDonald and former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom David Lloyd George as bulls with horns on their heads facing each other, issued during the 1929 general election campaign in support of Stanley Baldwin. Published by the National Union of Conservative and Unionist Associations, Palace Chambers, Westminster SW1, and printed by S.H. Benson Ltd. Good condition, folds, creasing, minor staining, small tears. Country of issue: UK, designer: John Gilroy, size (cm): 76x51, year of printing: 1929.
